Back in October I was contacted by Ms. Pena, who works at the school, to tell me how all the kids at Saint Joseph were reading Off the Hook and really enjoying it. She later asked if they could adapt the book into a play to perform at their Christmas show which of course I said yes!
Per Ms. Pena, some of the costumes were custom made by a seamstress while others were purchased by parents. The sets were designed by the art teachers, Alana and Raquel. As you can see by the pictures below, all of these talented folks have combined to deliver a truly SPECTACULAR production!

Hello and I hope everyone's well and enjoying the Christmas season!
I'm excited to announce that Off the Hook has just been named a winner in the "Children's Picture Book (6 years and up)" category in the Top Shelf Indie Book Awards!
This contest had over 1,000 entires and they had announced Off the Hook as a finalist a couple months back so it's a nice early Christmas present to see it named a winner in its category today!
You can check out the holiday edition of their magazine featuring the below page with Off the Hook at this link.
In some other exciting news, a school in the Dominican Republic called, Saint Joseph School, adapted Off the Hook into a play at their Christmas show this year -- apparently they made costumes and everything! They are currently working on getting parent's permission so they can share pictures and video with me which I'll then share with you all!
